DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav demands the resignation of Union HRD Minister Dharmender Pradhan, holding him responsible for the NEET-UG paper leak due to the failure of the NTA, and the suicide of a poor Delhi girl after the exam results were scrapped.

NEW DELHI, May 16, 2026—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav that it was due to the failure of the National Testing Agency (NTA) that the NEET-UG exam paper got leaked, shattering the dreams of 22 lakh students across the country with a 20-year-old poor girl from Delhi named Anshika Pandey committing suicide unable to bear with the shock and disappointment after the NEET exams got scrapped. He demanded the resignation of Union HRD Minister Darmender Pradhan, who should be held totally accountable for the paper leaks, as the latest leak was the 90th exam paper leak after Modi Government came to power at the Centre.
Mr, Yadav, along with senior Congress leaders, visited the house of the girl at Lal Bagh JJ Cluster, Model Town Assembly today, and said that it was heart-breaking to learn that the bright girl, who was aspiring to become a doctor, had appeared for the NEET exam with great expectation after thorough and expensive preparations for the exam which her vegetable seller father could least afford, yet the girl spared no effort to prepare for the exams.
Mr, Yadav was accompanied by General Secretary (Organisation) and Chairman of the Communications Department Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Kunwar Karan Singh, Shivank Singhal, Vice Chairman of the Communications Department Anuj Attrey, District president Mohd Usman, Neeraj Mittal, Ramesh Sharma, J K Dawar, Jia Lal Chobey, Ashok Mathur, President, Dhobi Samaj.
Mr, Yadav said that the bright girl, who missed the target by four points last time, was confident of good victory this time, and hence she was totally shattered when the NEET exams were scrapped due to paper leak. He said that Prime Minister Modi, who has been touring the world after advising the people of the country to curtail their foreign travel, use of petrol and diesel, and purchase of gold, should address issues such as paper leaks which was the 90th such incident after Modi’s BJP Government came to power at the Centre over 12 years ago.

दिल्ली की ग़रीब परिवार की होनहार बेटी को नीट पेपर लीक व परीक्षा रद्द होने के कारण के सदमे से आत्महत्या करने के लिए भाजपा सरकार की विफल नीतियाँ जिम्मेदार – देवेन्द्र यादव

नई दिल्ली, 16 मई 2026- दिल्ली प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेताओं के साथ आज मॉडल टाउन विधानसभा के लाल बाग जेजे क्लस्टर में नीट-यूजी की परीक्षा रद्द होने से सदमें के कारण अपना जीवन गंवाने वाली अंशिका पांडे के घर जाकर संवेदना प्रकट की। उन्होंने मांग की कि केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेन्द्र प्रधान नीट परीक्षा रद्द होने और छात्रों की मौत की जिम्मेदारी लेते हुए तुरंत अपने पद से इस्तीफा दें। उन्होंने कहा कि नीट-यूजी 2026 का नवीनतम पेपर लीक के बाद केंद्र में मोदी सरकार के सत्ता में आने के बाद यह 90वीं परीक्षा का पेपर लीक हुआ है जो की बहुत चिंता का विषय है ।
श्री यादव ने कहा कि यह नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी (एनटीए) की विफलता के कारण ही नीट-यूजी परीक्षा का पेपर लीक हुआ जिसके चलते देश में 22 लाख से अधिक छात्रों का भविष्य अंधकार में है जिस कारण दिल्ली की 20 वर्षीय गरीब लड़की अंशिका पांडे ने नीट-यूजी परीक्षा रद्द होने के सदमे और निराश होकर आत्महत्या कर ली। यह बेटी गरीब घर में डाक्टर बनने की अकांक्षा के चलते पिछले 3 वर्षों से लगातार नीट-यूजी की परीक्षा दे रही थी। इसकी मौत के बाद सब्जी विक्रेता उसके पिता सहित परिवार पूरा सदमे है और मौत के लिए सरकार की व्यवस्था को दोषी ठहरा रहा है क्योंकि अंशिका ने पेपर की तैयारी करने में कोई कसर नही छोड़ी थी।
श्री यादव के साथ महासचिव (संगठन) और कम्युनिकेशन विभाग के अध्यक्ष श्री अनिल भारद्वाज, पूर्व विधायक कुंवर करण सिंह, शिवांक सिंघल, जिला अध्यक्ष मोहम्मद उस्मान, कम्युनिकेशन विभाग के उपाध्यक्ष अनुज आत्रेय, नीरज मित्तल, रमेश शर्मा, जे.के.डावर, जिया लाल चोबे, धोबी समाज के अध्यक्ष अशोक माथुर भी थे।
श्री यादव ने कहा कि पिछली बार चार अंकों से लक्ष्य से चूकने वाली होनहार दिल्ली की बेटी को इस बार पेपर में अच्छे अंकों का पूरा विश्वास था और जब पेपर लीक होने के कारण नीट परीक्षा रद्द कर दी गई तो वह पूरी तरह से टूट गई थी और अपने जीवन को खत्म कर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी, जो देश के लोगों को अपनी विदेश यात्रा, पेट्रोल और डीजल के उपयोग और सोने की खरीद में कटौती करने की सलाह देने के बाद ख़ुद तो विदेशों का दौरा कर रहे हैं लेकिन पेपर लीक जैसे मुद्दों के समाधान के विषय में उन्होंने कोई चिंता तक व्यक्त नहीं करी क्योंकि 12 साल पहले केंद्र में मोदी की भाजपा सरकार के सत्ता में आने के बाद की पेपर लीक होने की 90वीं घटना हुई है।
